Housing Affordability Index Hits Record High

Housing affordability conditions have reached the highest level since 1970 when recordkeeping began.  The National Association of REALTORS' Housing Affordability Index rose to a record high of 206.1.  The index is based on the relationship between median home price, median family income and average interest rate.  The higher the index, the greater the household purchasing power.  If you or anyone you know has been thinking about purchasing real estate, now is a great time to make a move.
