6th Annual Vermont Remembers Run

On September 08th 2012, The Vermont National Guard Charitable Foundation will be hosting an llk Run/Ruck March, a 5k Fun Run/Walk and a Youth 1 Mile Fun Run to benefit the VTNG Fallen Soldier Memorial.  The race begins and ends at the Fallen Heroes Memorial on Camp Johnson (789 Vermont National Guard Road, Colchester, VT 05446). All events are open to the public.

Registration is open until midnight on 06 SEP 2012.  Registration forms may also be mailed, or submitted in person 0700-0800, 08 September 2012.

Ruck  March Participants will walk/run on the same course as the runners/walkers.  Ruck March Participants can compete in three categories: 1) Individual2) Team (2-6 person) 3) Platoon (7 or more).  Each person must carry their own Ruck Sack.  Rucks must weigh at least 35 lbs and will be weighed prior to the start/finish. Participants must register individually regardless of category  (no group registrations please).

The 1 mile Youth Fun Run will take place at 1030, following the completion of the 10k race.  The course is an enclosed 1 mile loop located on Camp Johnson.

    8/21/2012  USDA REFINANCE REGISTRATIONS TEMPORARILY SUSPENDED

    USDA announced that 2012 funding is exhausted for refinance transactions in their Single Family Housing Guaranteed Loan Program.  It is effective for all new registrations on or after 8/23/12  Once the funding has been confirmed with USDA for FY 2013, Century 21 Mortgage will communicate re-activation of USDA refinances. Refinance transactions will then be subject to the new upfront guaranty fee (2.00%) and annual premium (.40%).

     This announcement does not impact USDA purchase transactions.  Beginning on October 1, 2012, the annual Guarantee Fee will increase from .3% to .4%.  On a $200,000 loan, this adds about $16 per month.  The upfront Guarantee Fee remains at 2%.
